  Rain-Assist Kits
Adds water to a Flotender Rainwater Harvesting System during periods of low precipitation.

Buy a rainwater harvesting system

Rain-Assist is accomplished by connecting a timer controlled electric valve to the Flotender.  The Flotender will now have two sources of water – the roof or domestic water.  A flow restrictor is installed after the electric valve to restrict the intake water to less than or equal to the water being pumped out. Water received from either the drip electric valve or the roof downspout is immediately distributed to the individual emitter.

Reduce the length of watering time

Example:
A system without InstaDrip may have a watering time of:
1 hour Monday, 1 hour Wednesday, 1 hour Friday

With InstaDrip installed, if you can take advantage of one or two 1/4” rain days in the month the schedule may look like this:
1/2 hour Monday, 1/2 hour Wednesday, 1/2 hour Friday

And as the plants mature the schedule may look like this:
1/4 hour Monday, 1/4 hour Wednesday, 1/4 hour Friday

Flow Restrictor Guide

The Flow Restrictor keeps the water flowing into the Flotender at less than or equal to the water being pumped out. Avoid over-sizing the Flow Restrictor since this may cause excess water to flow out the overflow.
